Itinerary
Day 1
Transfer to Bwindi NP

Upon your arrival, our Kingse Safaris friendly safari guide will greet you at the airport or your hotel in Kigali. Explore the city, including a visit to the Nyamata Genocide Memorial and the bustling local markets. Afterwards, travel northward to Uganda, crossing the border to Bwindi National Park. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Virunga Mountains as you journey through the scenic landscapes. Upon arrival, check into your lodge (Gorilla Safari Lodge for luxury or Bwindi Jungle Lodge for deluxe). Then enjoy dinner, and relax in preparation for the days ahead.

Gorilla Tracking Adventure and Cultural Walk

Start your day early with a hearty breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. Once inside the lush rainforest, our guide will lead you to one of the gorilla families, where you’ll spend an unforgettable hour observing them up close. After this magical encounter, enjoy a traditional lunch before going on a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. This peaceful walk offers the chance to spot rare birds and monkeys. Return to your lodge for a well-deserved dinner and overnight stay, reliving the day’s incredible moments.

Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi and Canoe Ride

After breakfast, depart for the serene Lake Bunyonyi, one of Uganda’s most scenic spots. This 2-4 hour journey offers views of rolling hills and valleys. On arrival, enjoy the tranquillity of the lake with a guided canoe ride. Glide across the water, exploring its charming islands and listening to the sweet melodies of local birds. The calm environment offers perfect relaxation, making it an ideal escape. After a day of peace and beauty, retreat to your cozy accommodation at Bunyonyi Eco Resort for an evening of rest and reflection.

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After a delightful breakfast, go on a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. As you make your way through the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains, the stunning landscape unfolds before you. The drive takes you past crater lakes and breathtaking vistas. Arriving in the park, enjoy a thrilling afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This waterway is teeming with wildlife, from herds of elephants to crocodiles and abundant birdlife. Return to your lodge, where a delicious dinner awaits.

Game Drive and Transfer to Kibale Forest NP

Wake up early for a game drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park’s expansive savannah. The early morning hours offer the best chance to spot wildlife like lions, elephants, and bushbucks as they begin their day. After a late breakfast, drive towards Kibale Forest National Park, known for its chimpanzee tracking. The scenic route offers views of Uganda’s beautiful countryside. Upon arrival at your lodge (options range from luxury at Chimpundu Lodge to budget-friendly choices like Chimpanzee Guest House), relax before preparing for your next day’s adventure in the forest.

Chimpanzee Tracking and Nature Walk

After a restful night, wake up early for chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest. Led by an expert guide, you’ll enter the dense forest to search for the endangered primates. Along the way, you may spot other fascinating wildlife, including monkeys, giant forest hogs, and a variety of bird species. Once you encounter the chimps, enjoy an hour watching their natural behaviours. In the afternoon, take a peaceful nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, where you can observe more wildlife and enjoy the serene beauty of the area. Return to your lodge for a relaxing evening.

Transfer Back to Kigali/Kampala and Departure

After a leisurely breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to the enchanting forests and wildlife of Uganda. Head back to Kigali or Kampala, depending on your travel plans. Along the way, take in the scenic beauty of Uganda’s countryside. If time allows, you can stop in Kampala for a brief tour of the city. Upon arrival at the airport, our guide will assist you with check-in for your onward flight. Reflect on your unforgettable adventure as you make your way back home, taking with you your memories of an extraordinary Uganda Safari.
