Guest Reviews

I don't run set itineraries. Every safari starts with a conversation — what draws you to East Africa, how you want your days to feel, and the kind of moments you'll carry home with you.

Planning & Guest Relations

I handle every enquiry, plan every itinerary, and stay with you from the first conversation through to your final transfer. Lodge selection, seasonal timing, route logistics, day-by-day flow — that's my side of the operation.

When you message Kingse, you're talking directly to me. No sales team, no call centre, no handoff to someone you haven't spoken to.

Ground Operations & Guiding

Peter runs everything on the ground across East Africa — vehicle coordination, guide assignments, lodge check-ins, and the real-time decisions that make each day run seamlessly. He's the reason your transfers are smooth and your game drives are in exactly the right place.

Between us, you get personal planning from start to finish and expert ground operations every step of the way.

Owner-operated means exactly that — two people who know East Africa, running every detail of your trip.

What Guests Say

"From the first conversation to the last sunset drive, Jackson had everything dialled in. The lodges were exactly right for us, the guide was exceptional, and the timing through the Serengeti was spot on."

— The Richardson Family

Tanzania & Zanzibar

"We'd done group safaris before and assumed that was the standard. Working with Jackson was a completely different level — the positioning during migration, the private game drives, the way every day flowed."

Common Questions

FAQs

What's included in the price of a safari?

Every trip is different, but our quotes typically include all accommodation, meals, internal flights or transfers, park fees, vehicle and guide, and any activities built into the itinerary. International flights and visa fees are usually separate. We break everything down line by line so you know exactly what you're paying for.

How far in advance should I book?

For peak season (July to October) and gorilla trekking permits, 6 to 12 months ahead is ideal. Off-peak travel can sometimes be arranged with shorter notice, but the best camps and lodges fill early. Start the conversation whenever the idea takes hold — even if your dates are rough, it helps us hold the right options.

Is East Africa safe for travellers?

Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda are well-established safari destinations with strong tourism infrastructure. Our guides are experienced professionals who know the terrain, the wildlife, and the logistics. We plan every detail and monitor conditions on the ground throughout your trip. Your safety is built into every decision we make.

Can you organise trips for families with children?

Absolutely. We regularly design family safaris with age-appropriate activities, child-friendly lodges, and flexible game drive schedules. Some camps have dedicated family programs, bush walks for kids, and cultural visits that keep younger travellers engaged. Tell us the ages and we'll build something that works for everyone.

How does payment work?

Once you approve your itinerary, we take a deposit to secure your bookings — typically 30%. The balance is due 60 days before departure. We accept bank transfer and card payments. Everything is documented clearly and you'll receive confirmation for every booking as it's made.

What should I pack for a safari?

We send a detailed packing guide before your trip, tailored to your specific itinerary and season. In general: neutral-coloured clothing, layers for cool mornings and warm afternoons, a good hat, sunscreen, binoculars, and a camera. Most internal flights have a soft-bag luggage limit of 15–20kg, so pack light and practical.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes — comprehensive travel insurance is a requirement for all our trips. It should cover medical evacuation, trip cancellation, and personal belongings. We can recommend providers who understand safari travel and the specific coverage you'll need for East Africa.
