When you visit our website, we may collect basic analytics data including your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring website. This data is collected through standard web analytics tools and is used only to understand how visitors use our site.

- Lodges, camps, and hotels, guest names, passport details, dietary requirements, arrival dates
- Ground transport and guiding teams, guest names, flight details, itinerary logistics
- Internal and charter flight operators, as required for bookings
- National park authorities, for permit applications (e.g., gorilla trekking permits require passport information)
- Payment processors, to process your transactions securely
We only share the minimum information required for each service provider to fulfil their role in your trip.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your personal data is stored securely using industry-standard tools and platforms. We use encrypted email, secure CRM systems, and access-controlled databases. Only authorised Kingse Safaris team members have access to your personal information.
We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with any legal obligations. Enquiry data from guests who do not proceed with a booking is retained for up to 24 months, after which it is deleted.
5. Third-Party Tools
Our website and operations use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Netlify (US), website hosting
- Google Analytics (US), website usage analytics
- Meta Pixel (US), advertising measurement and website analytics
- Stripe (US), payment processing (card data is handled securely by Stripe and is not stored on our systems)
- Airwallex (AU/HK), bank transfer payment processing
- Airtable (US), operational data management and booking records
- Google Workspace (US), email (Gmail) and file storage (Google Drive)
- WhatsApp / Meta, guest communication
Your personal data, including passport details and booking information, is stored on servers located in the United States through the services listed above. This constitutes a cross-border disclosure of your personal information, and we take reasonable steps to ensure these providers handle your data consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
6. Cookies & Tracking
Our website uses cookies and tracking technologies for site functionality, analytics, and advertising measurement. Specifically:
- Google Analytics, collects anonymised usage data (pages viewed, time on site, referring source) to help us understand how visitors use our website
- Meta Pixel, collects data about website visits and interactions to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram
- Cloudflare, provides security and performance analytics for our website

8. Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. Where families travelling with children provide information about minors, this is used solely for the purpose of planning and delivering their safari experience.

As a safari operator working across multiple countries, your data may be transferred to and processed in the following jurisdictions:
- United States, where our technology providers (Airtable, Google, Stripe, Netlify, Meta) host their servers
- Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, where lodges, camp operators, national park authorities, and our ground operations team require guest details to fulfil your booking
- Australia, our primary base of operations
In accordance with Australian Privacy Principle 8 (cross-border disclosure), we take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas recipients of your personal information handle it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles. By providing your personal information to us for the purpose of arranging your safari, you consent to it being disclosed to service providers in the countries listed above.
10. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm to any individual whose personal information is involved, we will notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and affected individuals as soon as practicable, in accordance with Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988 (Notifiable Data Breaches scheme).
