Our Story

About Kingse Safaris

A Small Team. One Operation. Every Detail Covered.

Kingse Safaris is built around a simple idea: the people planning your trip should be the same people running it. Jackson designs the trips, the itinerary, the lodge selection, the timing. Samara runs the client side, your enquiry, your bookings, and the answers to your questions along the way. Peter runs the ground, the vehicles, the logistics, the moment-to-moment decisions that make a safari actually work.

Between us, we've spent years across East Africa. Not in offices, but in the field. That's not a marketing line. It's the reason our trips run the way they do.

Jackson Potter - Kingse Safaris

Jackson Potter

Co-Founder, Planning & Guest Relations

Jackson has spent years living and travelling across East Africa, from the Serengeti to Bwindi, from the Masai Mara to Volcanoes National Park. He knows what a destination feels like at 6am when the mist lifts off the crater floor, not just what it looks like in a brochure.

He handles every enquiry personally, building itineraries from scratch, selecting lodges, timing seasonal movements, and staying in contact from the moment you reach out until you're home. With Samara alongside him on the client side, you're always talking directly to the people who run Kingse. No sales team, no handoff, no call centre.

Peter Nanyaro

Co-Founder, Ground Operations

Peter runs everything on the ground across East Africa. Vehicle coordination, guide assignments, lodge check-ins, supplier relationships, and the real-time decisions that keep a safari moving exactly as planned. That's Peter's side of the operation.

He knows the parks, the routes, and the people. When something needs adjusting in the field, a road condition, a timing, a last-minute call, Peter handles it before you've noticed there was anything to handle. His network across Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda is what makes seamless multi-country travel actually seamless.

Samara Imhoof

Head of Operations & Client Experience

Samara runs the client side of Kingse, from your first enquiry through to the day you fly home. The planning detail, the bookings, the run sheets, and every question along the way, that's Samara's side of the operation.

She works hand in hand with Jackson on every trip, so there's always a real person who knows yours inside out. No call centre, no outsourcing, no handoff, just a straight line to the people running Kingse.

Our Guide Network

Your guide is the person you'll spend every morning with in the bush, and they make or break the experience. We work with a handpicked network of senior guides across Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Namibia, Botswana, Victoria Falls and South Africa. Professionals who've spent decades in the field and know their parks with a depth no classroom can teach.

They don't just find the animals. They read the landscape, anticipate behaviour, and position you for moments that most vehicles drive straight past. Every guide in our network has been personally vetted by Peter or by Jackson directly, and carries a track record with our guests that we stand behind completely.

Why Kingse

Direct access, start to finish. Jackson plans your trip personally. Peter runs it on the ground. You have a direct line to both throughout.
On-the-ground knowledge. We live here. We know the seasons, the camps, the guides, and the routes because we drive them ourselves.
Tailored, not templated. No two trips are the same. We build around your dates, interests, fitness level, and budget.
Multi-country expertise. Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Namibia, Botswana, Victoria Falls, Zanzibar, and South Africa. We operate across the region and know how to combine them efficiently.
Guide selection matters. We match you with a guide who fits your style, whether you want a walking encyclopedia or a quiet observer who lets the bush speak.
Small by design. We take on a limited number of trips so every guest gets the attention they deserve.

Conservation With Purpose

The Nanyaro Foundation

Pete grew up in Karatu, and there's a small community school there we've committed to for the long run. Power and water first, then classrooms, transport, and more year levels. A lot of our guests stop in on the way through.
