One trip, the right people, the real thing

A safari you join, not just book

A 9-day, 8-night Northern Circuit in small groups — up to twelve a departure in Land Cruisers of six, with our co-founder Pete leading every single trip himself. No big coaches, no stranger's minibus.

You drive in and back out, so everyone finishes together in Arusha and flies home or carries on to Zanzibar. It's designed for younger, social travellers who want real wildlife, real culture and a genuinely good time with good company.

Questions, answered

Good to Know

Travelling solo?

You're welcome — most of these trips fill with solo travellers. We pair you with someone of the same gender at no extra cost, or take a private room for around A$800.

What's the age range?

Built for younger, social travellers — most of the crew lands somewhere in their mid-20s to late-30s. If that sounds like your kind of truck, you'll fit right in.

How big is the group?

Up to 12 a departure, travelling in Land Cruisers of six, and Pete leads every trip himself.

When's it confirmed?

Each departure is guaranteed once 4 seats are booked. If your month can't run, you switch to any other departure or get your reserve back in full.

Which flights should I book?

Fly into Kilimanjaro (JRO); flights aren't included but we'll point you at the best routing from Australia. Adding Zanzibar? Ticket open-jaw — in via Kilimanjaro, home out of Zanzibar.

How fit do I need to be?

Game drives ask nothing of you but a camera hand. The crater-rim hike is a few hours at an easy pace, and you can sit it out if it's not your thing.

Do I need a visa or vaccinations?

Australians grab a Tanzania eVisa online (about USD 50) before flying. No compulsory vaccinations coming from Australia — check in with your GP or a travel clinic for their recommendations.

How does the payment plan work?

A$1,000 holds your seat, 50% is due within 14 days, and the balance 60 days before departure — card, bank transfer, or ask us about a simple monthly plan.

Can I add Zanzibar?

Yes — four nights at Kendwa Rocks straight after the safari, around A$1,100. Most of the truck usually carries on together.

Will I have phone signal and wifi?

Every lodge has wifi, and an eSIM keeps you covered most of the route. Expect a few gloriously off-grid stretches on the drives — the photos can post themselves at dinner.
